Mobile apps are applications that run on a smartphone, tablet or other suitable mobile device. An app is considered ‘native’ when it is developed directly using the device’s recommended environment and language. Native applications provide deeper integration with hardware and services offered by the device and its operating system, allowing for a richer user experience and feature set.
