The Client
MyPlayers is an organisation representing all professional rugby players in South Africa. Their main drive is to promote and protect the players’ collective interests within the rugby industry, representing them on both a national and provincial level.
The organisation advocates for player participation in the decision-making process of the South African Rugby Union (SARU). MyPlayers is 100% owned by the players who themselves also take on leadership roles in the organisation and on the MyPlayers board. These roles are responsible for determining the general strategy and vision of the organisation.
The Challenge
MyPlayers initially approached us to assist them with business automation. They wanted us to develop a system for them that would ensure efficiency in their business processes and assist in the management thereof. Our relationship grew rapidly with them, resulting in us also rebuilding their website, providing a more modern look that is adaptable on any device.
The Approach
After various meetings for their different projects running in parallel, the documentation was complete and we were ready to start building the platforms. The public website is for informational purposes, not only for the players but also the general public, informing them of the purpose of the organisation, news, updates and partners.
The System
The MyPlayers platform comprises an online system and a mobile app, developed exclusively for the members of the South African Rugby Players Association (SARPA). The Players are able to register on the platform and the MyPlayers administrative team can manage their registration and experience. See the app case study for more details on the app & system.
